Issue 2 issues too
Yes, the cheesy post title should clue you in to the fact that we are being idiotically slow in getting issue 2 out. It is coming. There was an out of state move, a near lightning strike incident, and also continued mourning for MJ.
If you want to send us anything for our theme, DISGUISE, you can do it now. We’ll take submissions for another 2 weeks.

Julio Cortázar's Hopscotch (Rayuela) →
Hopscotch is one of those amazing books that necessitates an OED, a kickass reference library, and undiluted concentration. Cortazar’s stream of consciousness verges on schizophrenic at times, and becomes meditative and intensely philosophical at others. Oh yeah, there is also a ton of that good ol’ apathy, code-switching, coincidence, and charm.

Reading with Walser. →
Robert Walser is one of my favorites. Humble and mad, his style is something I, along with Kafka, Musil, and other giants, admire deeply.
“A quiet, sweet, small place in the shade has always been the tender substance of all my dreams…” from Walser’s “The Job Application”
