H.O.T. is a month-long publishing project, facilitated by Ariel Pate and Tiffany Hockin, at the Soap Factory during the month of August.

H.O.T. is a month-long publishing project, facilitated by Ariel Pate and Tiffany Hockin, at the Soap Factory (Minneapolis-based gallery) during the month of August. We intend to print 40 different publications, ten of each copy. The author/creator of each book will get several copies for themselves, and the rest will be for sale at the Soap Factory and online via PayPal. If there is a high demand for a certain book, we will print multiple editions.

SUBMISSIONS
We’re currently seeking submissions! Run, don’t walk!
All books we print will be published in paper-back editions of ten. You may submit anything less than 50 pages (8 1/2x11 or smaller) or 25,000 words. All submissions will be taken on a rolling basis through August 15. I’m not sure what sorts of printers and such we’ll have yet. It might not be glamorous, but it will be wonderful!

DESIGN & HELP
If you’re interested in designing any books for Hot Off The, let us know. There’s no $ involved, but it could be fun! Send an email! Depending on when the manuscripts come in, the turnaround time for each book will be 3-10 weeks before the project (May, June, July), and 1-2 weeks during the project (August). The format/layout can be as simple or elaborate as you choose to make it. Short and sweet.
